More efficient processes through bundled access to vetted service providers and smart automation

Handling property claims involves a wide range of parties: tradespeople, experts, appraisers, and invoice reviewers all need to be coordinated, commissioned, and monitored. This effort ties up valuable resources in claims processing — particularly for recurring standard cases.

With Yarowa, insurers gain access to a central platform through which all services related to property claims handling can be managed in one place — from commissioning through to completion.

All services in one place

The Yarowa platform allows orders for a wide variety of services to be placed directly and digitally:

  • Tradesperson orders for repair and restoration work
  • Expert orders for the professional assessment of complex claims
  • Invoice review orders for checking and validating submitted invoices

This gives insurers a single point of access to a broad network of providers — without having to build and manage separate partnerships for each type of service. More than 5,000 tradespeople and over 80 experts are already available through the platform today — with the network continuing to grow.

Automated replacement value determination for electronic items

Another key building block of the platform is the automated determination of the replacement value for damaged or stolen electronic items. Instead of time-consuming manual research, claims handlers receive:

  • An automatically determined replacement value
  • A suitable, currently available replacement product
  • A clear overview of any deviations between the original and the replacement product (e.g. in specifications, features, or model generation)

This makes the assessment of electronics claims not only faster, but also more transparent and consistent.

Measurable impact from the field

The value of the platform shows not only in faster processes, but also in concrete figures: for property claims managed through Yarowa, net claims costs are on average CHF 175 lower than for claims not handled through Yarowa. At the same time, satisfaction with the commissioned tradespeople is high — the NPS stands at 66 among policyholders and 94 among insurance staff.

Value for insurers

The platform offers numerous benefits for property claims handling:

  • Fast, standardized processes for recurring cases
  • A single access point to a vast selection of services and providers
  • Providers that meet insurers' quality requirements and are vetted by Yarowa
  • Less coordination effort thanks to centralized order placement
  • Relief for claims handlers without any loss of quality
