From 239 to 402: Our Medical Network in Germany Continues to Grow

The continued expansion of our physician network in Germany is creating tangible value for insurers. Within the past 24 months, the number of active physicians and medical experts on the platform increased from 239 to 402, further strengthening access to qualified specialists, broad specialty coverage, and efficient medical assessment processes.

In the past year alone, 87 new physicians joined the network. June 2026 marked the strongest month in its history, with 16 new additions.

Sustainable growth rather than a short-term trend

A look at recent years shows that the growth of our medical network is not a short-term phenomenon. Since 2022, the number of active physicians and medical experts has increased steadily.

The past twelve months in particular have shown accelerating momentum. More and more medical professionals are choosing to handle medical assessments digitally with insurers through the platform.

As a result, not only is the number of available experts growing, but the network's medical coverage is becoming increasingly comprehensive.

48 specialties — combined medical expertise

Today, 48 different medical specialties are represented within the network. The spectrum ranges from orthopedic surgery and trauma surgery of the musculoskeletal system to general surgery and psychiatry, as well as highly specialized fields such as neurosurgery, angiology, and medical oncology.

This diversity creates tangible value: better regional coverage, insurers can access a broad range of medical expertise for a wide variety of cases and ensure that even complex assessments are assigned to the most suitable specialists.

As the network continues to grow, insurers benefit from greater flexibility when assigning cases, faster identification of suitable experts, and broader access to specialist knowledge across a wide range of medical disciplines.

Our current focus is on further expanding our network in the fields of psychology and psychiatry. Together with our disability insurance partners, we have added 17 new specialists since 2025.

Clinical expertise supports complex case assessments

In addition to broad specialist coverage, practical clinical experience is an important component of the network. 43 of the 402 physicians are affiliated with hospitals and clinical institutions, bringing valuable expertise from multidisciplinary treatment environments.

This clinical perspective is particularly valuable in complex cases that require interdisciplinary assessment, an inpatient treatment perspective, or experience with challenging medical conditions.

A network that grows with market requirements

Growing from 239 to 402 active physicians and medical experts in just two years demonstrates the increasing acceptance of digital processes for medical assessments.

However, growth is not simply about expanding the size of the network. What truly matters is the combination of quantitative growth, broad specialist coverage, and high-quality expertise.

We also continuously monitor relevant quality and process indicators to ensure that the expansion of the network goes hand in hand with consistently high standards of expertise, service quality, and collaboration.

As a result, our medical network continues to evolve, providing insurers with access to a broad pool of qualified experts while offering medical professionals a modern platform for the efficient, transparent, and digital handling of medical assessments.
